If you configure a claim policy for the legacy login experience, the end user must complete the account claim process in order to authenticate and access the portal for the first time.

  1. The user accesses the RapidIdentity login page using the link provided by their district. Each login page is customized for the educational organization.

  2. The user clicks Claim My Account.

  3. Depending on your claim policy, the user may need to provide additional verification. In the example below, the user must enter a unique identifier and their birthday.

  4. Your authentication policy determines which authentication method is required. In this example, the user must create a password.

  5. A confirmation screen displays and directs the users to return to the login screen.

  6. The user can return to the login screen to access the portal with their district-provided username and the authentication method that you configured in your authentication policy.
