iPad Requirements
Seamless Learning Access supports both Shared iPad and 1:1 deployment with the following operating system requirements:
Recommended version: iPadOS 26.x or later
Minimum supported version: iPadOS 18.7.3
Jamf Platform Requirements
You need a Jamf for K-12 subscription to use Seamless Learning Access.
User Account Requirements
A Managed Apple Account is the identity model Apple recommends for managed deployments, as it is an Apple identity owned and controlled by the organization, kept distinct from any personal Managed Apple Account. With a Managed Apple Account as the Seamless Learning Access user identifier, the trust chain runs from Apple School Manager through the MDM enrollment flow to RapidIdentity, with each stage independently administered.
Email addresses can be used where no Managed Apple Account exists for a user. However, email does not carry the same identity assurance as a Managed Apple Account, and Seamless Learning Access sessions created using email as the identifier operate outside the verified identity model.
