As an administrator, you decide how your users claim their accounts in the RapidIdentity Cloud portal. Jamf recommends using source data or claim codes as a secure way to provide users with access to the system.
- Source data
- Configure a claim policy based on your source data. The policy allows a user to claim their account with data available from the source, such as a combination of birthdate and employee ID. All data must be in the same format for the policy to work.
- Claim codes
- Identity Hub automatically generates a random claim code for all users. A user claims their account with the claim code along with their email address or phone number. To use this option, provide each user their claim code out-of-band.
- Default passwords
- Generate a default password for all users based on a logical pattern, such as the school name followed by the employee ID. This option is less secure and is not recommended.
