The People Module in RapidIdentity allows you to manage user accounts and their associated permissions. This module enables administrators and delegated users to manage account profiles, perform administrative actions, and view user attributes based on predefined permissions.
The People Module allows organizations to:
- Manage account profiles through Delegations
- Enable self-service actions for users
- Configure and manage administrative actions
- Control account status (active/disabled)
- Delegations
- A framework that allows environment stakeholders to create predefined searches for groups of users and manage their administrative capabilities.
- Delegation Source —The groups or individuals who have permission to view and manage specific Delegations. These users can access the assigned Delegations through the People Module.
- Delegation Target —The users who appear in the search results when a Delegation Source accesses their assigned Delegation profiles.
- Custom Delegations —Configurable Delegations that can be assigned to specific groups based on attributes or RapidIdentity Roles.
- My Delegation —A special Delegation type that enables self-service actions for individual user profiles.
- Actions
Actions are administrative capabilities that can be enabled for Delegation Sources to manage their Delegation Targets. Available actions include:
- Edit user profiles
- Change passwords
- Reset challenge responses
- Enable, disable, or unlock accounts
- Reset multi-factor authentication methods
- Manage WebAuthn devices (FIDO, TouchID, Windows Hello, etc.)
- Enroll, delete, or update mobile devices
- Print or export CSV files of Delegation Target attributes
- Attributes
Attributes define the user information that Delegation Sources can view and manage:
- Can be configured per Delegation
- Visible to authorized Delegation Sources
- Can be displayed in:
- List view when selecting a profile
- Detailed view when viewing specific Delegation Targets
Note:Attributes and their visibility settings should be carefully configured to ensure appropriate access levels for different Delegation Sources.
