The Seamless Learning Access User ID field in the Jamf Pro source adapter is the key attribute RapidIdentity uses when issuing Seamless Learning Access binding tokens. The correct configuration depends on your deployment model and whether your organization uses a Managed Apple Account.

For Jamf Pro environments running version 11.28 or earlier, Jamf Pro presents the user's email address in binding token requests for 1:1 ADE devices, falling back to the Managed Apple Account.

To configure the Seamless Learning Access User ID mapping, identify the iPad deployment model in your environment and follow the corresponding configuration topic:

  1. For environments with Shared iPad devices only, see Mapping in Environments with Shared iPad Devices.

  2. For environments with 1:1 iPad devices only, see Mapping in Environments with 1:1 iPad Devices.

  3. For environments with a mix of shared and 1:1 iPad devices, see Mapping in Environments with Shared iPad Devices and 1:1 iPad Devices.

Note:

To check for a Managed Apple Account in your environment, navigate to Users in Jamf Pro and open a representative user record. If the managed_apple_id or rostered_managed_apple_id field is populated, Managed Apple Account are in use.

After configuring the mapping for your environment, verify the configuration is working correctly. For more information, see Verifying the Mapping in Identity Hub.
