The Seamless Learning Access app contains the single sign-on extension that authenticates iPad users into learning applications. Deploy the app to managed iPad devices in Jamf Pro by adding it as a mobile device app, configuring it to install automatically, and pairing it with an associated domain for your RapidIdentity tenant.

Requirements
  • A smart group containing the iPad devices that will receive the app

  • The base URL for your RapidIdentity tenant

  • Licenses for the Seamless Learning app from Apple School Manager. For more information, see Select and buy content in Apple School Manager from Apple.

  1. In Jamf Pro, click Devices in the sidebar.
  2. Click Mobile device apps in the sidebar.
  3. Click New.
  4. Select App Store app or apps purchased in volume and then click Next.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • To add the app by browsing the App Store or apps purchased in volume, enter the name of the app (Seamless Learning Access), choose an App Store country or region and click Next. Then click Add.

    • To add the app by uploading a VPP code spreadsheet, click Choose File and upload the Excel spreadsheet (.xls) that contains VPP codes for the app.

    • To add the app by manually entering information about it, click Enter Manually.

  6. If you are entering information about the app manually, use the General tab to configure the following settings for the Seamless Learning Access app:
    1. Enter the display name for the app (Seamless Learning Access).
    2. Enter 1.01 in the Short Version field.
    3. Enter com.jamf.sla in the Bundle Identifier field.
  7. Ensure the Enabled setting is selected.
  8. Choose "None" from the Site pop-up menu.
  9. Choose a category to add the app to from the Category pop-up menu.
  10. Choose "Install Automatically/Prompt Users to Install" from the Distribution Method pop-up window.
  11. Select Make App Managed when possible and then configure the following settings:
    1. Select Convert unmanaged app to managed.
    2. Select Remove app when MDM profile is removed.
    3. Deselect Allow users to remove app.
  12. In the Associated Domains section, click Add and then enter the associated domain for your RapidIdentity tenant.

    For example, authsrv:sla-demo.us006-rapididentity.com.

    Note:

    Enter the domain without https://. Associated domains use the bare hostname, not a full URL.

  13. Deselect Enable Direct Downloads.
  14. Click the App Configuration tab, and then enter the following in the Preferences field:
    <dict>
      <key>ExtensionIdentifier</key>
      <string>com.jamf.sla.ssoe</string>
      <key>TeamIdentifier</key>
      <string>483DWKW443</string>
    </dict>
  15. Click the Scope tab, and then configure the target devices or device groups.
  16. Click Save in the bottom-right corner of the pane.

The Seamless Learning Access app deploys to the iPad devices in the configured scope. The single sign-on extension activates after the app installs, enabling Seamless Learning Access sessions for users on those devices.
