When you have multiple sources of identity information, you can configure the order in which data is processed by changing the source priority. You can also configure the source of authority for each group of users, which allows RapidIdentity to resolve conflicts between different systems.

Requirements
  • An administrator account in RapidIdentity

  • Two or more sources of data synchronized to ID Hub, which can include applications, databases, or a CSV file

  • Schedules enabled for regular source data synchronization

  • Roles configured in each source, with attributes standardized using the RapidIdentity Cloud Directory Schema

  1. Log in to your RapidIdentity administrator portal.
  2. In the Dashboard pop-up menu, choose "Identity Hub".
  3. Click the upper-left menu icon.
  4. Click Source Settings.
  5. In the Global Source Priority section, drag the handle next to a source to reposition it in order of descending priority.
  6. In the Group Authoritative Source section, click the Students field, then choose the source of authority.
    Note:

Multiple groups can have the same source of authority.

  7. Click the Teachers field, then choose the source of authority.
  8. Click the Staff field, then choose the source of authority.
  9. Click the Sponsored Accounts field, then choose the source of authority.

During scheduled syncs, data syncs in order of priority and conflicts resolve using data from the source of authority.
