Create a block policy to enforce category-based internet content filtering or custom block rules. You can deploy a policy with the default rules or customize them to meet your organization's needs.

  1. In Jamf Security Cloud, navigate to Policies > Internet > Block Policy.
  2. In the Specify the level of your block policy section, in the Group level dropdown, select Base policy.
  3. Under the Default Rules tab, select Block High Risk in the Pre-defined rules section.

    This applies the built-in policy that blocks known risky content.

  4. In the Block rules section, open Video and Photo.
  5. In the YouTube row, select Block.
  6. Review and modify the configured block policy rules, then click Save and apply.

To check if the block policy has been properly enabled, navigate to https://www.youtube.com to be redirected to https://block.jamf.com.

To view the blocked threat in Jamf Security Cloud, navigate to Reports > Internet > Blocks and confirm in the Categories column that a Video & Photo threat has been blocked.
