Check the target endpoint and the administrative portal to ensure that web protection has been deployed and is working properly.
- Open macOS System Setting > Privacy and Security and under Others click Profiles.
You should see the Default Activation Profile you created in Jamf Pro with a DNS Settings payload present.
- Navigate back to macOS System Settings and select Network.
In the DNS Settings section, verify that the profile is active as indicated by a green dot and the word Running beneath the title of the profile.
Alternatively, navigate to https://dns-test.wandera.com to validate that the DNS Service is active.
- Navigate to a safe site to test security solutions, such as https://malware.threatops.co.uk, to be redirected to https://block.jamf.com to ensure that the end-user and device are protected by web protection.
- To view the security threat alert, navigate to Jamf Security Cloud and go to Reports > Security > Threat view and confirm that a Phishing threat has been blocked.
