When macOS computers are enrolled with a UEM or MDM instance that is connected to Jamf Security Cloud via UEM Connect, the computer information is automatically added to Jamf Security Cloud when it connects to the internet.

Requirements

You must configure UEM Connect to display the correct platform, otherwise the device type appears as Unknown in Jamf Security Cloud.

  1. In Jamf Security Cloud, navigate to Devices > Manage.

The devices you deployed web protection to should appear as unique device identifiers.

  2. Verify that a green checkmark appears in the Network column for the device. If the Network column is not visible, add it by clicking the ellipses and selecting Network/App/UEM solution.
  3. Click the Details tab for a device in the table.

If you have configured UEM Connect for Jamf Pro, the Device Name matches the device's identifier in your UEM or MDM solution.

  4. Navigate to Reports > Internet > Blocks.

A list of the sites that were blocked on your test computer displays.

  5. Navigate to Reports > Internet > Usage or Sites and apps and verify that the reports show the allowed data usage generated by your devices.
