The tethering report shows the amount of data usage resulting from tethering, including which devices are tethering and how often it occurs. You can use the report to determine whether to disable or enable tethering, or whether to allow tethering up to a specified threshold.

You can filter based on the following criteria:
  • Date range
  • Domestic, roaming, or both
The following information is available in the tethering report:
  • Totals, including non-web data, average non-web data per day, number of devices tethering within the specified date range, and number of days with tethering within the specified date range
  • A graph showing non-web data usage and number of devices tethering over time
  • A breakdown of tethering by device that shows the date, number of sessions, and notifications sent for each
Note:

Within reports you may see the term "non-web data". This refers to any data that is not going through the Jamf Web Gateway proxy service. For more information, see Data Counting.
