Enabling automatic agent updates ensures computers are always using the most current agent and are compatible with the latest Jamf Protect features.

  1. In Jamf Protect, click Plans.
  2. Do one of the following:

    • Select an existing plan and then click Edit.

    • Click Create Plan.

  3. Make sure the Enable auto update checkbox is selected, which will automatically send Jamf Protect agent updates to computers with the plan.
  4. (Optional) If creating a new plan, configure other plan settings.
  5. Click Save.

If you updated an existing plan, computers will receive the plan update the next time they check in with Jamf Protect and will receive future agent updates.

If you created a new plan, you can download it and deploy it via an MDM solution.
