You can configure a domestic and roaming policy for mobile and Windows devices for each group in your organization. Each group policy can be configured independently with its own caps and allow lists. For example, the Finance group might be granted a 2000 MB cap for domestic use, while the Engineering group are given a 4000 MB cap. For roaming use, stricter policies are typically put in place due to higher data costs. So while a domestic policy may have a 4000 MB cap, a roaming policy may have a 200 MB cap, and have device tethering blocked.

To configure your data usage policies in Jamf Security Cloud, navigate to Policies > Internet > Data usage policy. Select the group policy you want to configure from the menu in the top-right corner. Then select either the Domestic or Roaming tab, and click either Mobile devices or Windows devices.

You can use the Domestic countries button to define which countries or regions should be included in your domestic policies. When devices are located in the countries listed here, domestic data usage policies will apply. In all other countries, roaming data usage policies will apply.
