The Business/Personal report filter in the Usage report shows you a breakdown of business versus personal data consumed. This can be used to distinguish between types of data usage when users submit claims for the cost of their monthly phone bills.

Note:

This section only applies to iOS, iPadOS, and Android devices.

Several popular sites and apps are included by default, but you can configure the filter as required.

  1. In Jamf Security Cloud, navigate to Settings > Business/Personal.
  2. Adjust any of the predefined options by selecting a classification of Business, Personal, or Other.
  3. To classify a website, enter its top-level domain.
  4. To classify a custom app, find out which domains the app accesses and enter them.

Typically, an app's name (for example, MyHabit or Kayak) is contained within the domain it accesses (myhabit.com or kayak.com).

You can now navigate to Reports > Internet > Usage in Jamf Security Cloud, apply the Business/Personal View filter, and view the results.
