Network logging in telemetry configurations provides visibility into inbound and outbound network traffic, helping teams identify suspicious activity such as data exfiltration and unexpected communications from compromised systems.

Before enabling network logging in a telemetry configuration, you must download an additional configuration profile to deploy to target computers. Then you can create and deploy a telemetry configuration that includes network logging.

Requirements
  • Target computers with macOS 26 or later

  • Target computers with the Jamf Protect agent version 8.14.0 or later installed

  1. In Jamf Protect, click Administrative > Downloads.
  2. In the Advanced Downloads section, click the Network Content Filter Profile download link. If prompted, save the configuration profile (.mobileconfig) locally.
  3. Using your preferred UEM or MDM solution, deploy the Network Content Filter profile to the computers from which you intend to collect network logging information. For more information on uploading and deploying configuration profiles in Jamf Pro, see Uploading a Configuration Profile in the Jamf Pro Documentation.
  4. Create a telemetry configuration that includes network logging and deploy it to target computers. For more information, see Creating a Telemetry Configuration.
