The categories report lets you view the types of sites and apps that users have accessed, including the amount of data used for each. The categories and subcategories correspond to the content filtering policy categories in the Policies menu. You can expand each subcategory to see which domains it includes. This report differs from the sites and apps report in that it summarizes the top categories, rather than delineating categories by user, allowing you to view overall trends and totals and the amount of data shared with each domain.
You can filter based on the following criteria:
- Date range
- Time of day
- Type of traffic
The following information is available:
- A graph showing the top five categories by data usage (all other categories are listed as Other)
- The top five visited domains
- A breakdown of categories and subcategories, including the amount of data used by each domain, percent of data shared with the domain, and popularity as a percentage of data usage
