- In Jamf Security Cloud, navigate to .
- Select the Domestic tab.
- Expand the UEM Signaling section and assign the Tethering Control iOS UEM tag to Device reaches the threshold.
- Click Save.
- Switch to the Roaming tab.
- Expand the UEM Signaling section and assign the Tethering Control iOS UEM tag to Device starts using this policy.
- (Optional) If you're using a custom domain for your UEM portal and the device is capped, in the Custom sites allowed once capped section on both the Domestic and Roaming tabs, enter your UEM instance domain and click Add .
- Click Save.
Note:There can be a delay between a data usage policy event occurring and your UEM solution applying the assigned policies to the device.
UEM Signaling is now set up to control tethering on devices. The assigned UEM tags will be applied to devices once the corresponding data usage policy event occurs, as follows:
When you change the device location from domestic to roaming, or vice versa, according to the configuration above, the change in tags is reflected in the UEM solution.
When a device is capped, the change in tags is reflected in the UEM solution.
