Each app version is given a risk level of low, medium or high, based on a granular risk score.
You can review the risk levels and scores for apps or app versions to determine whether they pose any risk to your organization's devices and data.
This app risk score is calculated based on different variables for iOS, iPadOS, and Android apps.
App data is collected and constantly updated using a multi-layer approach. Results are collected from:
-
Static and dynamic/behavior analysis
-
Device state monitoring
-
Third-party threat intelligence
-
Crowdsourced metadata from public app stores
This data is fed into the Jamf machine learning engine, MI:RIAM. MI:RIAM uses various machine learning models to extract further information, assign an app risk score, and continuously improve the accuracy of this score prediction as more information becomes available.
You can view the risk score for app versions on the App Insights page and find more details for each app version on the App Details page.
