From the Manage your app blocks page, you can block or allow all traffic from specific apps. For example, if you block TikTok's bundle ID (com.zhiliaoapp.musically), all traffic from TikTok will be blocked. Users can still download the app to their device, but the app will not have network access. Alternatively, if you allow the bundle ID for a trusted app, all traffic from that app will be allowed, even if it would otherwise be blocked by a content filtering policy.
This feature is only compatible with supervised iOS or iPadOS devices that have on-device content filtering enabled. Your App details list applies to all devices in your fleet that meet these requirements.
Jamf Security Cloud uses bundle IDs to identify app traffic to either block or allow. An app's bundle ID is its unique identifier within the Apple ecosystem. Search the internet for a bundle ID finder to identify the bundle IDs used by apps in your environment.
To use block or allow apps, navigate to in the portal. Enter one or more bundle IDs, separated by a comma, and click Add app. The bundle IDs will be added to your App details list. From the App details list, select Block to block all traffic from the app, or select Allow to safelist the app.
