Self Service classic for macOS is deprecated as of 31 March 2026, meaning it will no longer receive new features or bug fixes but remains available for use. Administrators are advised to migrate to Self Service+, the new end user application, which provides the same core functionality as Self Service classic while enabling new integrations with other Jamf applications such as Jamf Connect. You can enable Self Service+ as the default end user application in Jamf Pro by navigating to and selecting Use Self Service+ as the default end user application. When this option is selected, all eligible computers with macOS 13 or later will automatically have Self Service+ installed. You can also manually deploy Self Service+ using a policy. Note:
While Self Service classic will no longer receive updates or bug fixes, it will continue to be deployed to computers that are unable to run Self Service+, such as those running versions earlier than macOS 13. Self Service classic continues to be available via automatic deployment if Use Self Service+ as the default end user application is not enabled. All options related to Self Service classic will continue to be available in Jamf Pro, but they will no longer be maintained.
