The following "application bundle" inventory attributes add the ability to view or search for the short version and long version strings for macOS apps. Collecting both the short and long version strings for every app provides better insight into the accuracy of app version reporting.

The Application Version attribute remains available and collects the short version string for most apps, but sometimes collects information using different keys when needed (e.g, certain Microsoft apps).
