Return to Service Enhancements

Return to Service is available for Apple Vision Pro devices with visionOS 26*. Users can initiate the process directly from the Lock Screen or Control Center, while administrators can configure automatic triggering after a defined period of inactivity. The feature securely erases user data and automatically re-enrolls the device in management with appropriate settings, making it ready for the next user quickly and securely.

Return to Service supports managed app preservation on iOS 26*, iPadOS 26*, and visionOS 26* devices. When preparing a device for its next user, managed app binaries remain on the device while user data is securely erased. This eliminates the need to reinstall managed apps during device reset, significantly reducing setup time.

To access this feature in Jamf Pro, navigate to Mobile Devices > Prestage Enrollments and either create a new PreStage enrollment or edit an existing one.
