Jamf Pro can automatically create seat records in DigiCert Trust Lifecycle Manager when deploying certificates via SCEP. This streamlines the certificate deployment process by eliminating the need to manually create seats in DigiCert. When configuring SCEP certificate payloads, you can choose to enable automatic seat creation by selecting or (whichever option corresponds with your profile scope) from the new Seat Type pop-up menu.
In existing DigiCert Trust Lifecycle Manager SCEP deployments, the default value for Seat Type is set to (no automatic seat creation) after upgrading to Jamf Pro 11.19.0. If you want to enable automatic seat creation for devices or users that are added to the scope of an existing deployment, you must edit the payload to specify the seat type to be automatically created.
