The Return to Service feature is available in the Jamf Pro interface, in addition to the Jamf Pro API. With the Return to Service feature, a mobile device remembers the Wi-Fi settings after erasure and applies them automatically. The device then returns to a ready-to-use state for the next user while ensuring privacy and security among multiple users of the device. Return to Service is an option configured with a Prestage enrollment, and subsequently executed with the Wipe Device remote command.
For example, if multiple students use the same iPad, you can quickly reset the iPad between students without having to manually walk through setup screens or reconnect to the Wi-Fi network.
