Enrollment invitations via email give you more control over user access to the enrollment portal by allowing you to do the following:
Set an expiration date for the invitation
Require users to log in to the portal
Allow multiple uses of the invitation
Add the device to a site during enrollment
View the status of the invitation (e.g., email sent, email failed, enrollment completed)
Device Enrollment enabled for computers via Jamf Pro's user-initiated enrollment Settings

An SMTP server set up in Jamf Pro

- In Jamf Pro, click Computers in the sidebar.
- Click Enrollment Invitations in the sidebar.
- Click New.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to send the enrollment invitation.
An enrollment invitation is immediately sent to the email addresses you specified.
To view devices in your organization that enroll with Jamf Pro via a specific enrollment invitation, navigate to the enrollment invitation. If an enrollment invitation failed, Jamf Pro will not reattempt sending the invite.
