Reregistering Jamf Remote Assist removes the Privacy Preferences Policy Control profile that was deployed to the computer when Jamf Remote Assist was initially enabled. Then, the Privacy Preferences Policy Control profile is immediately redeployed to the computer and the computer goes through new authentication to ensure that future communication with Jamf Remote Assist is secure.

  1. In Jamf Pro, click Computers in the sidebar.
  2. Perform a simple or advanced computer search
  3. Select the computer you want to start a remote session with.

    If you performed a simple search for an item other than computers, you must click ​Expand next to an item to view the computers related to that item.

  4. Click the Management tab, and then click the Management Commands category.
  5. Click Reregister app under Remote Assist.
