Integrating Jamf Pro with Context-Aware Access for macOS and iOS/iPadOS involves the following steps:

  1. Creating Context-Aware Access smart groups

  2. Enabling the Context-Aware Access integration

  3. Creating and assigning a Context-Aware Access policy

  4. Having end users authenticate a computer or device with Context-Aware Access with Google by opening a Context-Aware application

Users must open a Google application to authenticate their device before they can register. If a user attempts to register before authenticating, Google will have duplicate device records.

Note:

The Google Chrome web browser must be used to leverage the macOS Context-Aware Access integration.

Important:

Enabling the iOS or iPadOS platform under Settings > Global > Device Compliance while already using the Chrome Enterprise integration for iOS or iPadOS devices (or vice versa) will cause compliance data flow issues. (This behavior does not affect the macOS platform for device compliance and Chrome Enterprise.) For more information about enabling both integrations, contact Jamf Support.
