  1. In Jamf Pro, click Settings in the sidebar.
  2. In the Jamf Apps section, click Jamf Remote Assist .
  3. Click Edit .
  4. Use the Configuration status switch to enable Jamf Remote Assist.
  5. If your environment is hosted on-premise, use the Jamf Remote Assist Data Storage Location pop-up menu to specify the location where Jamf Remote Assist cloud service will store data. Cloud-hosted environments will store data in the same location where their Jamf Pro instance is hosted.
  6. Click Save .
The Jamf Remote Assist app is installed on managed computers. For more information, see Components Installed on Managed Computers.
Note:

When Jamf Remote Assist is enabled, Jamf Pro may automatically send MDM commands relating to Jamf Remote Assist profiles on managed computers, specifically when interacting with the management tab of a computer inventory record. This expected behavior is initiated proactively by Jamf Pro, even if you are not starting a Jamf Remote Assist session, and allows the Jamf Remote Assist app on managed computers to respond promptly if a session is initiated.
