You can create smart user groups in Jamf Pro based on roster information from your Apple School Manager integration, allowing you to more effectively manage students in Jamf Pro and ensures that roster data between Jamf Pro and Apple School Manager is in sync.

Requirements
  • Apple education support enabled in Jamf Pro

  • Apple School Manager integrated with Jamf Pro

  • At least one class imported from Apple School Manager

When Apple School Manager roster data is synced with Jamf Pro, you can create smart user groups based on the following criteria:

Apple School Manager must be integrated and class roster data must be imported for the below criteria to function correctly.

  • Roster Class Display Name

  • Roster Class Name

  • Roster Class Number

  • Roster Class Room

  • Roster Class Source

  • Roster Class Status

  • Roster Course Name

  • Roster Course Source

  • Roster Course Status

  • Roster Email Address

  • Roster Full Name

  • Roster Grade

  • Roster Instructor Name

  • Roster Location Name

  • Roster Location Source

  • Roster Location Status

  • Roster Managed Apple Account

  • Roster SIS Username

  • Roster User Federated Authentication

  • Roster User Passcode Type

  • Roster User Source

  • Roster User Status
