A Google Workspace edition that includes Gmail services (i.e., Enterprise)
A new or existing Gmail account associated with your Google Workspace
Note:
Prior to configuring the SMTP server settings for Google in Jamf Pro, Jamf recommends reading the Preparing a Google Workspace for Jamf Pro SMTP Server Integration technical article to ensure your Google Workspace is configured to allow for integration with Jamf Pro.
In Jamf Pro, click Settings
in the sidebar.
In the System section, click SMTP
server
.
Click Edit .
Use the Enable SMTP server switch to enable SMTP server.
Choose Google Auth from the Authentication method pop-up menu.
Enter your client ID in the Client ID field.
Enter your client secret in the Client secret field.
Click Add an email address via Google to open the Google authentication workflow.
Follow the prompts to complete the Google authentication workflow.
To add another email address, click Add or reauthenticate an email address via Google, and follow the prompts to add additional email addresses.
Note:
If you add additional email addresses, you can select a default email address to send emails from. The first email address that you add will automatically become the default.
Click Save .
Jamf Pro is now configured to use Gmail to send email notifications.
