You can configure the deployment process for App Installers by specifying the number of InstallEnterpriseApplication commands per batch, scheduling specific times of day and days of the week for deployment, and determining how frequently these batches are prepared. This approach to command deployment optimizes network performance and prevents infrastructure overload, particularly for large organizations with numerous devices.
These settings work to configure the internal workflow before the MDM commands are added to the Jamf Pro command queue and are visible in the computer's management history. It does not directly control the installation timing on an end user's computer.
For example, you can limit commands to be deployed on Fridays at 5:00 PM. Jamf Pro will initiate the process to send commands to APNs at that time, but if the target computers are offline the commands will be queued with APNs until computers are online again (e.g., Monday morning), at which point the commands will be sent from APNs to the target computers and begin the installation process.
The deployment process settings are applied to all App Installers deployments in your Jamf Pro instance.
