Restricting App Categories and Built-in Apps - Jamf Parent Guide for Parents

You can use Jamf Parent to restrict device functionality on your child's school-issued device by restricting apps by category, such as social media, games, or shopping, or you can restrict built-in apps, such as Camera or Safari.

Tap the parent and child button in the upper-left corner and tap the avatar of the child's device you want to apply app restrictions to.
Use the switch next to Restrictions to display the Restrictions section.
Next to Restrictions, tap the + button.
Note:
If you have not previously set any restrictions, you can also tap Add first restriction.
Under App Categories, tap the + button next to each app category you want to restrict. All other app categories will be allowed.
Under Device Functionality, tap the + button next to each built-in app you want to restrict. All other built-in apps will be allowed.
Tap Apply in the upper-right corner.

The Restrictions settings are applied to the child's device. If a child's device is offline, the settings will be applied the next time the device is online.

To remove Restrictions settings from the child's device, do one of the following:

To remove specific restrictions, tap the — button next to each app category or built-in app you want to remove.
To remove all applied restrictions at once without saving your list, tap the + button next to Restrictions and tap Clear all, then tap Apply.
To remove all applied restrictions at once and save your list to reapply later, use the switch next to Restrictions to hide the Restrictions section.
Note:
Turning the Restrictions switch on again displays the Restrictions section and reapplies your configured restrictions settings to the child's device.
