You can use Jamf Parent to choose which apps your child can use on their school-issued device by configuring allowed app categories, enabling App Lock, or restricting built-in apps. The following features are available to manage app usage on your child's device:
- Allowed App Categories —Allow or restrict apps based on app category, such as social media, games, and shopping
- App Lock —Temporarily limit device access to only specified apps. All other apps are unavailable during the set time period.
- Restrict device functionality —Allow or restrict built-in apps, such as Camera, Safari, and FaceTime
If app restrictions are applied to a child's device and then removed, the changes may take several minutes to be applied to the device.
