You can use instructions provided by the school to open Self Service on the child's school-issued device. Then you can add the child's device to Jamf Parent by scanning a QR code in Self Service using a mobile device with Jamf Parent installed on it.
- On the child's device, open Self Service and tap the QR code button in the upper-right corner of the app. A QR code displays.
- On the parent device, open Jamf Parent and tap Get Started.
- Tap Scan QR Code and use the parent device to scan the QR code displayed in Self Service on the child's device.
- Tap Confirm to manage the child's device.
- If you want to add another child's device, tap the parent and child button in the upper-left corner, and then tap Add child and scan the QR code that displays in Self Service on the child's device.
The child's device is paired with the parent device in Jamf Parent.
If two or more parents want to manage the same child's device with Jamf Parent, you can scan the same QR code with both parent devices.
