Requirements
  • The Apple Push Notification service (APNs) must be set up prior to enrollment.

  • You must have an Apple Business account.

    Note:

    Requesting access to Apple Business is a short sign up process, but you should expect a waiting period after signing up. Apple reviews your credentials and application, which typically takes 5 to 10 days.

  1. Log in to Jamf Now.
  2. Click Auto-Enrollment.
  3. Select Apple Business and click Next.
  4. Download your public key file and click Next. You will use this file to create your server token with Apple.
  5. Log in to Apple Business.
  6. Click Devices at the top of the page.
  7. Click Management Services in the sidebar.
  8. Click Add next to Add device management service.
  9. Enter a unique name for your device management service in the Service Name field.
  10. Select or deselect the Allow this service to release devices checkbox.
    Note:

    Jamf recommends deselecting this checkbox. For more information, see Release devices in Apple Business in the Apple Business User Guide.

  11. Use the Upload Certificate field to upload the public key you downloaded from Jamf Now.
  12. Click Next.
  13. Click the Action pop-up menu, and choose Download Token, and save to your computer.
  14. In Jamf Now, drag and drop or click browse to select the new server token from your directory and upload it to Jamf Now.
  15. Click Done.
  16. (Optional) Click Choose Setup Assistant Steps to choose the screens displayed when devices enroll.
