- On the device, disable Activation Lock in one of the following ways.
Turn off Activation Lock in Apple Business or Apple School Manager. For more information, see Turn off Activation Lock in Apple Business in the Apple Business User Guide.
Log out of the iCloud account. For information on signing out of iCloud, see Sign out of iCloud on your devices from the Apple Support website.
- Release the iPad or iPhone from Apple management. To do so, see the following documentation from Apple:
- In Jamf Now, send the Erase Device command to the devices.Note:
The Erase Device command will unenroll devices from Jamf Now regardless of whether the device is communicating with Jamf Now. To erase the device, it must be communicating with Jamf Now when you send the Erase Device command.
