Requirements
  • Ensure the device has Find My disabled or is signed out of iCloud.

  • The Open Enrollment period must be active to Open Enroll a device in to Jamf Now. For more information on enabling Open Enrollment, see Setting Up Open Enrollment.

  • If Stolen Device Protection is enabled for iOS devices, users may be prompted to disable it or to wait an hour before enrollment if the device is located in an unfamiliar location.

    Note:
    • Open Enrollment will fail when a device has an existing non-removable Automated Device Enrollment profile already installed.

    • If a device was previous enrolled with Automated Device Enrollment, you must remove the device record from Jamf Now before using Open Enrollment.

    • Some Jamf Now features do not work with unsupervised devices. Jamf recommends supervising the device prior to enrollment. For more information, see Supervising Mobile Devices with Apple Configurator.

  1. On the iPad or iPhone that you want to enroll, navigate to the Open Enrollment page using one of the following methods:
    • Open Safari and enter your Open Enrollment URL found in Jamf Now by navigating to Open Enrollment. For example: https://go.jamfnow.com/xyz

    • Open the Camera on the iPad or iPhone and scan your QR code found in Jamf Now by navigating to Open Enrollment.

  2. Enter the access code you or your administrator created, select a blueprint, and enter the name and email address (if required).
    Note:

If you do not know your access code, contact your administrator.

  3. Tap Start Enrollment.
  4. Tap Allow on the pop-up dialog to download the configuration profile.
  5. Navigate to Settings app > General > VPN & Device Management and select Profile.
  6. Select the desired profile, and then tap Install. In the pop-up dialog, tap Install again.
  7. (Optional) Enter the device passcode. You will only be prompted to do so if the device has a passcode set.
  8. A message alerting the user that their device will be remotely managed by the Jamf Now account administrator appears. Tap Install.
  9. Tap Trust to allow the device to trust Jamf Now's profile.
  10. Tap Done.
The profile is installed and the device is enrolled with Jamf Now. If you have any questions or issues, contact Jamf Now Support at support@jamfnow.com.

Enable Find My or sign in to iCloud on the device after enrollment to share its Activation Lock bypass code with Jamf Now.
