You can use any of the following methods to troubleshoot your Jamf Migrate workflow:
  • Logs

In the event Jamf Migrate fails to successfully complete the migration, you can examine the log file, which can be retrieved by navigating to /var/log/jamfMigrate.log.

  • Removal

If you need to stop Jamf Migrate for any reason, run /usr/local/Migrate/Migrate_Removal.sh in Terminal. This script immediately stops and uninstalls Jamf Migrate.

  • Kickstart

If you need to resume the Jamf Migrate workflow at any point, run /usr/local/Migrate/Migrate_Kickstart.sh in Terminal. This script reloads Jamf Migrate at the current part of the workflow.

If you are still experiencing issues with Jamf Migrate, ensure that the Migrate framework is removed from the computer by running the Migrate removal script and follow these steps to complete a manual re-enrollment.

  1. Remove the existing MDM profile.

For most MDM solutions, this can be achieved by sending a command from the source MDM solution.

  2. Remove any local files associated with the source MDM (differs by MDM solution). Refer to the source MDM vendor documentation.
  3. Enroll into Jamf Pro by navigating to your enrollment URL (e.g., https://JAMF_PRO_URL.jamfcloud.com/enroll).
  4. Follow the prompts to download and install the MDM profile.
