  1. Jamf Migrate displays a series of dialogs to users to guide them to migrate to Jamf Pro enrollment. These dialogs display the steps that Jamf Migrate needs to complete along with the progress of each so that the end user remains informed throughout.
  2. After completing the initial preparations, Jamf Migrate gives the end user the option to start or defer for a period of time. Users are encouraged to proceed as soon as possible; however, they can defer based on your deferral settings.
  3. After the end user chooses to start the migration, Jamf Migrate removes the old management profile and displays instructions to guide the end user to install the new management profile from Jamf Pro.
  4. If the computer is FileVault encrypted and the end user has a secure token, Jamf Migrate prompts them to enter their local password to re-issue the FileVault key.
  5. If all steps are successfully completed, the end user sees a confirmation message and can click Done. Jamf Migrate submits inventory to Jamf Pro and uninstalls itself.
  6. If the end user does not complete the workflow when prompted, Jamf Migrate re-prompts the user every 15 minutes (by default) to complete the migration.
