Removal of Support for macOS 12.x

Jamf Connect no longer supports macOS 12.x. Computers with macOS 12.x or earlier will be unable to install Jamf Connect version 2.42.0 or later. Any automatic update workflows configured in your environment will no longer apply, and the Jamf Connect installation package no longer allows computers with macOS 12.x or earlier to proceed with the installation.

Other Changes and Improvements

The Jamf Connect login window and menu bar now include Brazilian Portuguese as a supported language.

Resolved Issues

  • [PI117922] The End Admin Privileges button no longer appears in English while Japanese is the selected language for the Jamf Connect menu bar app.

  • [PI120489] Users no longer experience an inability to authenticate with their identity provider while the Password Change Workflow (PasswordChangeWorkflow) is set to Kerberos.

  • [PI120643] The Jamf Connect login window no longer fails to display the multifactor authentication (MFA) window during login when only one MFA factor is available to use.

  • [PI122156] Jamf Connect no longer experiences installation issues when using external tools, such as Setup Manager.

  • [PI122367] The Network Check-in Frequency (NetworkCheck) correctly disables a background password check on app launch when the setting is set to 0.

  • [CON-5359] Computers with macOS 14.x or later no longer experience functionality issues with native menu bar buttons, such as Wi-Fi and Battery.

  • [CON-5367] Jamf Connect Configuration no longer crashes when testing configurations for users with multifactor authentication enabled and Okta Identity Engine as the identity provider.

  • [CON-5421] The access token that appears after using Jamf Connect Configuration to test a FIDO2 authentication no longer displays beyond the screen limits.
