Changes and Improvements

  • The UI for the privilege elevation feature in the Jamf Connect Configuration app now includes consistent spacing between various elements, and related settings are grouped together visually.

  • The Disable RSR Watcher (DisableRSRWatcher) setting is removed from Jamf Connect and the Jamf Connect Configuration app, and is no longer supported.

  • Jamf Connect now generates a unique device identifier with every authentication request for Okta users.

Resolved Issues

  • [PI109973] The list of Jamf Connect versions in Jamf Pro is now in the correct release sequence.

  • [PI111822] The Jamf Connect login window no longer produces an unexpected generic error during startup while a network extension is in use.

  • [PI116328] The Jamf Connect login window no longer produces an "Unable to mount file server" error due to a delay in caching a Kerberos ticket.

  • [PI116385] The Password Expiration Notification Start Date (ExpirationNotificationStartDay) setting correctly displays a password expiration warning during login.

  • [PI116829] The Jamf Connect login window correctly redirects Google IdP users to the local login screen when a network connection is unavailable, rather than producing a blank screen.

  • [PI117174] The Acceptable Use Policy Web Address or File Path (EULAFilePath) setting no longer skips the Acceptable Use Policy (EULA) page if a subdomain is the specified web address.

  • [PI117243, PI117244] Administrators can now hide the User Privileges menu item via the Jamf Connect Configuration app in the Hidden Menu Items section or via Jamf Pro by adding the Hidden Menu Item Preferences property in your Jamf Connect configuration profile.

  • [CON-5093] Users who complete their sign-in authentication during account setup no longer have to unexpectedly restart their computer to continue.

  • [CON-5140] An additional line in the Jamf Connect logs regarding the default duration of a temporary elevation no longer appears.

  • [CON-5147] Changes to time tampering detection during privilege elevation sessions reduce the occurrence of accidental flags on legitimate users.
