You can deploy a new version of Jamf Connect using Jamf Pro when the release introduces new login window settings that you want to configure. There are three ways to deploy Jamf Connect updates.
- Jamf Pro Policy
- Deploying Jamf Connect using a policy in Jamf Pro is recommended for managed devices that are enrolled in Jamf Pro, for updates to Jamf Connect version 3.0.0 or later, or if in-scope devices do not support automated device enrollment. Note:
This method does not support automatic updates.
- App Installers
- App Installers is recommended if you have Jamf Connect version 3.0.0 or later and you want to configure automatic updates, or if you have Self Service and want to allow end users to update the app on their devices.
- Automatic Updates in Jamf Pro App Settings
- Enabling automatic updates in Jamf Pro app settings is supported for Jamf Connect versions 2.45.0 and earlier.
