You can download Jamf Connect logs via the login window or Self Service+. This feature allows you to provide a detailed report to Jamf Support. When working directly with Jamf to resolve an issue, contact Jamf Support.

To download all Jamf Connect logs from the past 30 minutes, do one of the following:
  • From the login window, press and hold the Command key, then click the Jamf logo.

  • From Self Service+, click Help, then click Collect troubleshooting info.

    Note:

If you have Self Service+ version 2.6.0 or earlier, click About, then click Collect logs.

The JamfConnectLogs ZIP file includes:
  • An authchanger text file that includes the output of an authchanger -print command. This lists current loginwindow mechanisms enabled on the computer and indicates whether the Jamf Connect login window is enabled.

  • A Kerberos file that includes the output of a klist command. This lists the state of any Kerberos tickets on the computer, if available.

  • PLIST files from all Jamf Connect and Self Service+subsystems.

  • When available, the user's ID token is written to the Jamf Connect logs and the com.jamf.connect.state domain. Additionally, the installed version of Jamf Connect is written.
