Jamf ID is required for logging in to the following Jamf resources. You cannot log in to these resources with your identity provider (IdP) connection in Jamf Account.

Jamf ID is an option for logging in to the following Jamf portals. You can also log in to these portals using your IdP.

  • Jamf Account

  • Jamf Pro

  • macOS Security (Jamf Protect)

  • Jamf Security Cloud (Jamf Protect and Jamf Connect; business customers only)

  • Jamf Safe Internet

  • Jamf Mobile Forensics

  • Jamf School

  • Jamf Routines

  • Support Portal

By default, sessions time out after 30 minutes of no user interaction, or after eight hours and 20 minutes of use. You can update session duration and inactivity timeout by logging in to Jamf Nation and navigating to Profile > Security. These settings are respected by any app supporting Jamf ID.

Note:Keep the following in mind when working with Jamf ID.

  • To view your recent logins, click the avatar in the upper-right corner.

  • If you have a Jamf ID with the same email address as your organization's single sign-in (SSO), the Log in with your Jamf ID box displays.
