You can use a passkey with your Jamf ID when signing in to Jamf products and services instead of signing in with your password. After you add a passkey for your Jamf ID, you can use that same passkey across the Jamf platform. You can connect your passkey to a single device or multiple devices, and you can create multiple passkeys.
Not only can you use a passkey as a sign-in method, you can also choose to sign in with your password and use a passkey for your multi-factor authentication (MFA). Adding a passkey does not remove or replace your password, and both remain valid methods for signing in.
You can also choose to create a new Jamf ID with a passkey instead of password. If you forget your passkey, and you created the account without a password, you can still click Forgot Your Password? on the Jamf Account login screen to reset your Jamf ID login credentials. As with passwords, administrators cannot manage other users' passkeys.
Jamf recommends allowing your device's operating system and browser to manage passkeys when possible. This enables syncing across devices and the use of AutoFill.
