Configure FusionID to accept a new type of source data by creating an object brick, attaching it to the source class, and configuring the resulting source management policy.

  1. Navigate to Settings > Data Objects > Object Bricks and create a new object brick for your source type, such as HR or Student.
  2. In the source class definition, add the new brick to the sourceData field's list of allowed types, and then click Save.
  3. Navigate to System > Source Management Policies, and then open the draft policy.

    A draft policy is created automatically once the brick is attached.

  4. Configure Is Active Validation rules if your source has date or status fields that determine whether records are active.
  5. Define the matching criteria FusionID uses to link this source to an identity record.
  6. Set the actions for potential and multiple matches and specify whether this source type can create new identity records.
  7. If needed, update Source Field to Identity Priority Mappings in Global Configuration to include the new source type in your field mapping priorities.
