This enrollment method is also known as "user-initiated enrollment via URL". This approach offers flexibility for computers and mobile devices that are not eligible for Automated Device Enrollment and also creates an option for an end user to easily re-enroll a device without erasing it. The end user clicks a provided link, which begins the enrollment process. After authenticating, users are guided through simple steps including downloading an MDM profile. With Elevate, the interface provides the URL and authentication details in an easily shareable format directly on the Enrollment tab. You can provide the URL and authentication details by sending it in an email or any other means that fit your environment.
To configure profile-driven Device Enrollment, click Enrollment in the sidebar, click Setup on the User-initiated Enrollment - Profile driven card, and then follow the onscreen instructions.
After a user authenticates on their device, an "Assign to user" screen may appear. If this screen appears, do not enter anything in the search field, simply click Continue to complete the enrollment.
