Establish baseline security policies to automatically apply to enrolled devices. Jamf provides industry standard frameworks, such as the Center for Internet Security (CIS) benchmarks, via the compliance benchmarks capability.

  1. On the Elevate dashboard, locate the Protect your devices task and click Get started, or navigate to Protect your devices in the setup assistant.
  2. Enable or disable Jamf-recommended protections against known threats and malicious content and click Continue.
  3. Select your preferred device compliance settings and click Continue.
  4. Select automatic or manual OS updates and click Continue to next task.

    Automatic OS updates ensure device operating systems (i.e., macOS, iOS, iPadOS) are up to date without requiring any end user action, while manual OS updates allow end users to dictate update timing and require their action.
