You can deploy apps directly to the computers in your environment using App Installers.
- In Elevate, click Apps in the sidebar.
- Click Add app in the upper-right corner of the page.
- Use the Search function at the top of the page or scroll to find an app to distribute.
- Click Add .
- Use the pop-up menu to select a Target group.
This is the group of computers that the app will be scoped to. For information on creating groups, see Creating a Device Group.
- Select a Distribution method.You can choose to either install the app automatically on target computers or add the app to Self Service+ to allow your end users to install the app at their convenience.Note:
Self Service+ is an end user application for Mac that allows users to browse, search, and install Mac apps. Self Service+ provides a streamlined end user experience by consolidating Jamf end user applications into a single app. It is enabled for all Mac computers in your Elevate environment by default.
- Select an Update method.
Automatic updates will install the latest version of the app when available. Manual updates allow you to decide when to install a newer version.
- Click Deploy.
The app is distributed to computers in scope via the chosen distribution method.
